Third Annotation and Thesis Statement

In a time of simple farmers and loyal church goers, Anne Hutchinson dared to defy society. She started a major change in the 17th century that still continues to this day. Anne Hutchinson was America's first female minister, a feminist who was willing to fight for her cause against a society that was seething with fear, and a martyr who dedicated her life to change and freedom who is all too often forgotten in a male dominated history.

I found this site that explained reason for the opposition against Anne Hutchinson. It gave an overview as to the real reason why she lost her trial. I also found that she was not only banished from the colony, but she was excommunicated from the church as well.

I will use this to show that the judges of the colony wrongly judged her. She was treated wrongly because they believed she was making a mockery of them. I can explain the prejudice she faced due to their hated and indignation over a false wrong.
